Objective activity decision tree
The objective activity decision tree is aimed at osteopaths who haven’t chosen an objective activity to undertake as part of their 3-year CPD cycle.
An objective activity is any CPD activity that involves getting external feedback on your, which then enables you to analyse and reflect on this feedback to show how it has informed your practice.
Options for an objective activity include a case-based discussion, patient feedback, Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), clinical audit or a peer observation. You might find this decision tree helpful in identifying what type of external feedback you would like and then identifying an objective activity that could help you achieve your feedback aim.
We have a range of objective activity workbooks available which provide step-by-step guides on how to undertake the activity as well as templates to help you record and reflect on the feedback you receive. If you are interested in finding out more about PROMs we have produced a short animation explaining what PROMs involves.
