Peer Discussion Review
Completed Peer Discussion Review template (Example 2)
The Peer Discussion Review (PDR) template is designed to help structure a supportive conversation and provides a ‘walk-through’ for both the peer and the osteopath. The PDR template should be completed and agreed by both osteopath and peer(s) and should also be included in the osteopath’s CPD records.
This completed example focuses on an osteopath who conducted her PDR with two associates in her practice. The osteopath is the Principal Osteopath in a busy group practice with 5 other osteopaths. She completed a case-based discussion as part of the objective activity requirement of the CPD scheme. The CPD she undertook in the first two years of her cycle was very much focused on attending specific courses, but from March 2020 onwards it involved online webinars, informal learning with others via virtual groups, and reading journals.
Based on feedback from the profession, we have updated and redesigned the PDR template to make it easier to use, however the previous version will still be accepted. If you need a copy of the old version please email commsteam@osteopathy.org.uk. Additionally, if you require a Pages version (suitable if you have a Mac) of the template, or if you require the template in a different format, please contact the Communications team.
