Do you have the support you need to prepare you for the new CPD scheme?
Communities of osteopaths around the country are helping each other to prepare for the new CPD scheme. The new scheme promotes engaging with fellow osteopaths in a supportive way, providing professional support, the ability to develop practice, as well as getting a head start before implementation.
Are you interested in connecting with other osteopaths?
You could:
- Join an osteopathic regional group in your area
- Sign up for free online CPD workshops which will provide the opportunity to interact with other osteopaths
- Contact us, we can put you in contact with osteopaths in your area if you’d like to set up your own group
- Download the osteopathic communities of practice practical guide to establishing and sustaining vibrant professional communities
Are you already part of a group which isn’t listed on our website? We’d love to hear more about it. Email the team
You could also:
- Encourage other osteopaths to join your local group events, you can send details of events you are running for inclusion on the CPD events page
- Take a look at our case studies showing how other osteopaths have gone about CPD activities in groups, and how they have applied what they learnt in practice
- If you and your group are including elements of the new CPD scheme in your meetings, share your stories of how this is working, by doing so you can offer tips to other osteopaths
Our CPD site is packed with useful resources including:
- Case studies on topics such as ‘communication and consent’
- ‘How to’ guides and templates to help you prepare for a peer observation
- Worked up examples of a case based discussion
