There is a wide held belief in manual therapy that vertebral pain is solely generated and maintained by local tissues.
In this workshop Jean-Pierre will introduce his findings that spinal conditions have also whole person, systemic, sensory, visceral and emotional causes. The participants will learn new testing methods and treatment approaches that address the wider contributing factors and their interaction with local spinal tissues and their influence on compensatory/adaptative responses.
The course will focus on cervical spine pain experience and dysfunction. It will explore the relationship/contribution of various body systems to these conditions, including:
The teeth and gum
The heart and pericardium
The head (intra and extra cranial)
The neurovascular system
Also explore relationship with other joints such as:
The other part of the spine
And even the feet
About the speaker
Jean-Pierre Barral is well known internationally for his extensive contribution to osteopathy in the area of visceral osteopathy. He has written several books in this and related areas and has developed many of the techniques used by osteopaths worldwide. The two workshops run by Jean-Pierre are a rare opportunity to train under his guidance.
