This one-day course will explore the application of neurodynamic principles to modern manual therapy practice.
The mobilisation of the nervous system is an integral part of manual medicine. It’s uses extend from assessment techniques, such as the Straight Leg Raise (SLR) test, to the treatment of mononeuropathies of mechanical aetiology.
Starting from a review of the relevant literature in the fields of fascial sciences and neurobiomechanics, the course will focus on the practical applications of this theoretical framework in everyday practice.
Although the course is predominantly practical, there will be a strong focus on developing a critical understanding of the uses of neurodynamics, both in its application to the clinical assessment of the musculoskeletal patient and as an integrated part of conservative treatment in physical medicine.
